When the idea of graduate accommodation occurred to me, it was borne out of reminiscence about my own difficult days starting my first job. Quite a shock! Coming to London from university was daunting. It's a formidably expensive city, especially if it's mostly new to you. Then there is staying safe, getting up early (no more snooze button), commuting, preparing your work clothes, keeping up with friends, managing on a limited budget, etc, etc. Some of my friends were in more desperate states than I was - squatting, sharing a room or even a floor. But it was all very exciting - the feeling that 'this is it!'. What we had been working for - no more rehearsals!

Out of that thought process came the Springboard idea - a transitional state - something to mitigate the relentlessness of the world of work and the capital; time to adjust and get your bearings with an all-in, economical price tag; and fun too.

I believe that we have made great progress on this, as I hope you will see from our Tenants' Testimonials on this site, but there is always room for improvement, and that is what we are aiming at for our future buildings.
