Which Springboard building did you live in?
How long did you live there?
1 year and 7 months.
What were the most significant factors which influenced your decision to move in to Springboard?
Having just moved to the UK from New Zealand, I was keen to meet people and make friends. It was also incredibly close to where I did my food and wine diploma at Leiths School of Food and Wine.
Did Springboard live up to your expectations?
It really has – There are loads of parties and social events, and I’ve made friends for life. In fact, I am about to move in to a new place with people I met here at Springboard.
What are/were you favourite things about living at Springboard?
I love the social scene. The Sunday pub quiz is always fun and a regular fixture for me.
Is there anything you would like to change or any recommendations you would make?
I love the building. When I first joined I came up with the idea of having a bookcase for everyone to share books. I set this up and people seem to use and enjoy it.
Did you experience any problems with your room/maintenance etc ? If so, how were these taken care of?
I had an issue with my window and sink, but it all got fixed really quickly and to a high standard. If there are any problems Amy sorts them out straight away.
Did you take advantage of the Springboard social scene? If so, tell me a little bit about friends you made at Springboard, or trips/outings/fun experiences you had with other Springboard tenants.
I love the social scene here. We are always going out and we do many different things together including concerts, comedy shows, dinners and more.
What is your favourite Springboard story or memory?
There are way too many to share just one! It’s been such a great experience living here, but I originally found out about Springboard because a family member of mine met her now husband here!
Would you recommend Springboard to a friend? And if so why?
I really would – It’s perfect for people like me. I work crazy hours, and it’s a safe place to come back to where there is always something fun to do.
Provide a sentence or two to sum up Springboard in your own words.
Unforgettable and amazing – I’ll be sad to leave!
