Which Springboard London house share did you live in?
How long did you live there?
What were the most significant factors which influenced your decision to move in to a Springboard London house share?
The whole concept sounded really fab ; living in quality accommodation in a nice area whilst meeting new people, plus all the cleaning is done for you; a bloke’s dream!
Did Springboard live up to your expectations?
Absolutely! I met some great people who I am still friends with now, and the standard of cleaning was top notch!
What are/were you favourite things about living at Springboard?
I loved living around lots of other young professionals. I also enjoyed the games tables downstairs.
Is there anything you would like to change or any recommendations you would make?
Nothing stands out. Of course, there are always things that can be done to improve a place, but I always felt that Rob listened to the residents and acted to make improvements.
Did you experience any problems with your room/maintenance etc ? If so, how were these taken care of?
A couple of small things, but these were dealt with very quickly.
Did you take advantage of the Springboard social scene? If so, tell me a little bit about friends you made at Springboard, or trips/outings/fun experiences you had with other Springboard tenants.
I invented the cocktail flat crawl, where each flat prepares a jug of cocktail for others to sample, and one by one we’d crawl around the building. We also had a few themed parties, including a very messy Christmas one where I was probably the only sober person. Honest! We had a great night out at a cocktail bar, somewhere I can’t recall, and a few nights in the local Czech bar. Some former Springboard residents still have a dodgeball team in my league, and wear fairy skirts. Lovely!
What is your favourite Springboard story or memory?
That’s a tough one but I have to say the cocktail flat crawls were incredible. I might be biased!
Would you recommend Springboard to a friend? And if so why?
Absolutely. If you are coming to London to work and want to meet people, and live in nice accommodation at the same time, it is a fantastic place to be. Springboard is a great concept and generally full of lovely, friendly people. A lot of the residents end up moving into private accommodation together when they leave. It really is the perfect ‘springboard’ on to the next step in your London adventure!
Provide a sentence or two to sum up Springboard in your own words.
You can arrive knowing absolutely nobody but soon after you’ll probably have friends for life.
Any final thoughts?!
