Springboard has buildings located in 4 different parts of London; West Hampstead, Barons Court, Fulham and Shepherds Bush. Whilst all our buildings provide all-inclusive, affordable and hassle-free accommodation for recent graduates and young professionals in well-connected and centrally located parts of the city, each has its own unique personality. In this blog post I am going to tell you a little bit more about our buildings, their similarities and their differences, the facilities available at each one and what it is like being a tenant there.
This is Springboard’s biggest building with 69 rooms available across 19 flats, each comprising of 2-6 bedrooms. All flats have shared kitchens and laundry facilities including a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. West Hampstead is made up almost exclusively of rooms with en-suite.
There is a large communal area in the basement which is available to all of our tenants and acts as the social hub of the building. This includes a cinema room, a gym, a table tennis table and pool table, and a large conservatory, communal kitchen and dining area.
As a general rule, we find that 50% of West Hampstead tenants move to Springboard for an easy way of life, due to Rob, the building’s on-site landlord, a cleaner x4 a week, and excellent transport links. The other 50% move in looking to make new friends and this 50% make up a friendly and active social community – At West Hampstead you get out of the social community what you put in to it, making it ideal both for those looking to meet new people, and those simply looking to enjoy a comfortable and easy way of life. So far we can count 11 marriages, 4 engagements and 5 babies among our former residents!
The average stay in West Hampstead is 16 months, with a number of people on work placements staying a considerably shorter time and plenty of tenants staying in excess of the 2 year mark.
The area is exceptionally well-connected, and has a village-esque atmosphere and plentiful local restaurants, bars and other amenities. To find out more about life in West Hampstead, check out my area guide here.

Large communal lounges on the ground floor encourage an active social scene amongst Barons Court tenants, and include 50″ smart tvs, a pool table and a football table.
Barons Court tenants regularly socialise and head out and about together, be it to a bar or club, for brunch, to a museum or show, or enjoying an evening in with films or board games.
The building is a stone’s throw from the nearest tube station, where you can access the Piccadilly and District line, and Barons Court tenants benefit exclusively from free access to the Aegon Tournament held at the prestigious Queen’s Tennis Club, just down the road.

All Fulham rooms have hand basins and a third of the rooms are en-suite, whilst the others share bath and shower rooms with a ratio of 1:3
Tenants benefit from having a cleaner 7 days a week.
Fulham has a large garden with a BBQ, table tennis and picnic benches, and a living room with Sky TV and BT Sport.

Shepherds Bush has the most generous room sizes out of all our properties and is the most like a traditional house-share in its setup. Due to this, it has the longest average stay of all our properties; approaching 2 years.
